Description: The City of Conroe is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering and related services for expansion of the Conroe Central Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1890 Ed Kharbat Drive, Conroe, Texas. The project is intended to expand permitted average daily flow capacity from 6.0 MGD to approximately 12.0 MGD, driven by wastewater flow projections and growth in the service area. Anticipated services include evaluation, planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction-phase services, and other professional services needed for a complete operational expansion.

The project will expand the City of Aledo Wastewater Treatment Plant from 0.6 MGD to 1.2 MGD. New submersible lift station, new 40-foot diameter clarifier, new aeration basin, construction of a sludge transfer station, expansion of the chlorine contact basin, new elevated concrete platforms, new disinfection and dechlorination systems, and replacement of coarse bubble aeration system with fine bubble aeration system, including electrical controls, conduit, wiring and programming.
