Summary
The Edmonton Public School Board is seeking professional services to develop Deep Retrofit Plans (DRPs) for over 230 school facilities serving approximately 125,000 students, with the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, utility and maintenance costs, and creating safe and comfortable learning environments. The DRPs will combine energy audits with scenario-based impact analyses that go beyond standard ASHRAE Level 2 or 3 audits by incorporating multiple retrofit pathways and financial analyses based on life cycle cost analysis (LCCA). This project is supported by the Alberta Ecotrust Retrofit Accelerator Program, which provides free coaching and partially funded studies to help Alberta building owners reduce GHG emissions from existing buildings.
