Retrofit of Digital Red Switch System (DRSS) Production Support Assets RFP

Description: The Department of the Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), through PMA-271, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract modification to Collins Aerospace for retrofitting Government-Furnished Block I Digital Red Switch System (DRSS) production support assets to a Block II configuration supporting E-6B aircraft sustainment. The action is intended to be sole source because the required specialized services and technical data are available only from the original source, and it is not a small-business set-aside. This is an active presolicitation—not a grant program—and although it is not a request for competitive proposals, responsible sources may submit written responses by the deadline for agency consideration.
