The project scope includes milling and resurfacing of existing roadway surface, repair and adjustment of drainage structures, new curbing, shoulder trimming, curb cuts at intersections, guiderail replacement, traffic signal improvements and new pavement markings on Playland Parkway. Work consists of removal and replacement of the existing asphalt wearing surface, excavation and backfill, waterproofing top of the arch, stone masonry repointing, slab and parapet wall repair, and pavement markings on Boston Post Road Bridge.

The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the milling and resurfacing of 3.85 miles of roadway, as well as some road widening for right turn lanes. Work includes the replacement of drainage pipe using DIP and RCP; the reconstruction of concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, and ADA curb ramps; and the installation of detectable warning surfaces, curb pieces, bicycle safe grates, and traffic stripes and markings. Three (3) signalized intersections will also be modified to meet current MUTCD standards and upgrade the existing pedestrian facilities to current ADA standards including the installation of pedestrian signal assemblies, countdown heads, and additional traffic signal heads.
