NATURE OF SERVICES REQUESTED The City of Homewood is seeking a qualified firm to provide surveying and professional engineering design services for a new sidewalk connection along Saulter Road from Sylvia Drive to Broadway Street. The concept includes proposed sidewalks, retaining walls, and a bridge connection. These plans are conceptual and do not dictate the final design or scope of this project. The conceptual design plans are included at the end of this document for reference only. PROJECT/SCOPE OF WORK A. The final design should reflect the selected firm's professional recommendations and expertise while maintaining the project's intended purpose identified by the City. Design submittals are anticipated to be Schematic Design (30%), Design Development (60%), and Construction Documents (100%). B. The selected firm will conduct a pre-bid meeting with bidders to describe the scope of the work. During the bidding period, the selected firm will receive and respond to requests for information from bidders and coordinate with the City for responses and required modifications.
