AvailableViaduct Rehabilitation: The work of this contract consists of bringing the route 100 high speed line bridge 12. 81 over the schuylkill river to a state of good repair and includes the following: 1. Lead paint abatement/containment. All existing steel coatings shall be considered as containing lead. 2. Complete cleaning and painting of the structural steel viaduct (excluding handrails on transportation center canopy, platform and stair 2 support columns and vestibule. 3. Structural steel repairs including pack rust removal, lacing bar repair, secondary member replacement, bearing web stiffener replacement, rivet and bolt replacement, bottom chord web plate replacement detail (type g), and span 12 web stiffener repair. 4. Replacement of bottom struts in spans 25 to 32. 5. Concrete substructure cleaning, repairs and coatings. 6. Full depth inspection of viaduct including pin ultrasonic testing and sampling of steel coupons for material testing. 7. Replacement of bearings in spans 25 to 32. 8. Rehabilitation of bearings in spans 1 to 24, and piers 42 and 43. 9. Construction of new steel inspection walkway at river truss (spans 25 - 32). 10. Removal of abandoned utilities supported by viaduct structure. 11. Pier cap 42a steel repairs. 12. Bird deterrent system. 13. Concrete encasement of steel columns and struts. 14. Downspout repairs. 15. Removal and replacement of fiberglass grating track level walkways and add fiberglass grating within rail gauge. 16. Span 33 to 36 concrete deck slab demolition and replacement including associated track work. Removal and reinstallation of rail, ties, ballast, and 3rd rail. 17. Rock construction entrances, river access mats, and erosion and sedimentation pollution control. 18. River pier scour remediation. 19. Vegetated drainage channel. 20. Maintenance and protection of traffic and navigation. 21. Replace concrete sidewalks and curbs where existing sidewalk is disturbed. 22. Locally re-grade ground to expose steel tower bases that are to receive concrete encasement and for drainage. All disturbed soil to remain on site. 23. Protection of existing utilities. 24. Replacement of transportation center stair 2. 25. Repair and replacement of work damaged as a result of work of this contract.
