The Town of New Portland, Maine is requesting sealed per-yard bids for the purchase of approximately 3,500 yards of winter sand to be mixed with salt at a ratio of about 7 parts sand to 1 part salt for use during the 2026-2027 winter season. All bids must be sealed, clearly marked 'Winter Sand Bid', and submitted to the New Portland Town Office at 901 River Road, New Portland, ME 04961. The successful contractor must deliver and stockpile the screened sand/salt mix at the Town's sand/salt shed on River Road by October 15, 2026.
