The primary purpose of grants funded under this solicitation must be to: Administer rebate programs for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households, small businesses, and adult family homes for the purchase and installation of heat pumps and other high-efficiency electric equipment and appliances; Reduce energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from residential and commercial buildings in Washington; Improve indoor air quality by switching from fossil fuels to high-efficiency electric equipment; Increase the scope and scale of low-income household energy programs, and address the home energy affordability gap in Washington, and Align and partner with the federally funded Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) household rebate programs.
