Remediation and Restoration Activities

Description: Under an interagency agreement, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center is supporting the FAA Facilities Environmental Cleanup Program at the QPI RCAG site in Matawan, New Jersey. The contractor will remediate identified contaminated soil, including lead- and PCB-affected soil, dispose of waste, and restore the site, while preparing remediation, safety, and risk-management plans and identifying required permits. The contractor is responsible for disposal sampling and paperwork, and the FAA’s Licensed Site Remediation Professional will select and approve disposal facilities.
