Recycling of Scrap Tires and Rubber Services

Description: Travis County is soliciting proposals for recycling and proper disposal services for scrap tires and rubber collected from illegally dumped materials and its fleet operations, totaling about 220,000 pounds annually. The contractor will provide regular bi-weekly collections from the County’s East and West Service Centers (with additional pickups as-needed), ensure compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) tire-management thresholds, and deliver itemized reports documenting quantities, pickup locations, and costs. The contract term is two years beginning upon award or August 31, 2026 (whichever is later), with options to extend and a response deadline of August 13, 2026.
