Description: Providers of recreational services for people who have sustained an acquired brain injury. Recreational services will be provided in group settings throughout the commonwealth. Following an acquired brain injury social isolation, depression, and impaired cognition, reduced endurance and social skills pose significant challenges and can impact overall health. Providing culturally competent, varied, high-interest, and properly adapted recreational services serves multiple purposes and creates positive outcomes for participating individuals and the abi (acquired brain injury) community more generally.
