The State of South Dakota is soliciting qualified forest-management contractors for Pre-Commercial Thinning FY2027 in Custer State Park. The work includes three wind-storm fuel-reduction projects covering 125.1 acres, pre-commercial thinning covering 87.7 acres, and mastication covering 26.2 acres, with all work due by March 31, 2027. Proposals are due August 11, 2026, and bidders may submit proposals for any combination of the five independently evaluated bid items.

Commercial Landfill Services Contract (Request for Proposal)
The Contractor will accept, handle, and dispose of or recycle all waste in conformance with Federal, State, and local governmental regulations. The Contractor will provide safe access to its facility during the winter months and throughout the year. The Contractor assumes all responsibility allowed by law for the proper management of waste from the point at which the Contractor accepts it. If transportation is required, the Contractor will be solely responsible for transporting all waste to the appropriate destination in a manner consistent with Federal, State, and local statutes and regulations.
