Post-Accident Toxicological Testing - (Request for Quote)

Description: The Contractor shall furnish and/or make available all technical and support personnel, equipment, supplies, and other material and services necessary for the timely analysis of up to 200 sets of urine and whole blood samples per year (and on occasion, where there has been a fatality(s), body fluid and tissue samples). There has been an average of 175 sample sets in the last few years of the program. These samples are obtained from regulated employees who are involved in train accidents meeting the thresholds in 49 CFR Part 219.201. The accuracy of this analysis is crucial to the credibility and integrity of the FRA Program in the eyes of the public, the railroad industry, the National Transportation Safety Board, and railroad employees and their representatives.
