Delivery of musical support as musician/organist and cantor for the roman catholic Sunday masses.
AvailableThe services shall include, but are not limited to: The musician shall coordinate the musical arrangements with the Chapel Pastor or Officiating Chaplain prior to conducting any rehearsals or services. The goal of the musician shall be to lead the congregation in worship through music in coordination with the Chapel pastor or Officiating Chaplain. The musician shall perform up to one services per week not to exceed 52 regular Sunday services per year for active duty personnel and all others authorized as defined in OPNAVNST 1730. ID (Religious Ministries in the Navy). Rehearsal times for a praise team or choir shall be conducted during mid-week for adequate practice and preparation. The Chaplain shall inform the musician of the service dates and start times. Worship services should last for approximately 1 hour. The musician will also provide support for up to 20 special services which may be scheduled during the church calendar year or during civic holidays and will be coordinated by the Chapel Pastor. The special services include such events as observance of Holy Days, funerals, memorials, and special religious observances. Services for weddings are not authorized. See attached file.
