Energy Innovator Fellowship Host Institution Application and Selection Process
The U.S. Department of Energy has opened the Host Institution application for the Energy Innovator Fellowship (EIF), which gives recent graduates and early-career professionals an educational opportunity to collaborate with critical energy organizations on host-driven projects. Eligible host institutions include utilities, grid operators, state public utility commissions, state energy offices, and Tribal entities. The 2026 application opened August 17, 2026 and host institution applications are due October 2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. ET; fellows’ stipends are paid monthly by ORISE, and no EIF funds are directed through host institutions.
