Summary
The City of Moorhead, Minnesota, in partnership with the City of Fargo, North Dakota, is soliciting contractor bids for the construction of a Pedestrian Bridge and Shared-Use Path over the Red River connecting 40th Avenue South in Fargo to 50th Avenue South in Moorhead near the Bluestem Amphitheater. The project consists of an approximately 670-foot long, 12-foot-wide pedestrian bridge built above the 100-year flood elevation, together with a 10-foot wide shared-use path with 2-foot shoulders connecting to existing trail networks on both sides of the river. Houston Engineering is the project engineer for solicitation, with construction planned for 2027 and bids due on July 22, 2026.
