This is a Sources Sought Notice seeking firms capable of providing peanut compliance/verification services to ensure handler and importer compliance with USDA peanut quality and handling standards (7 CFR part 996). The contractor would perform audits, routine facility surveillance, review inspection and laboratory certification documentation (including aflatoxin testing), and report violations to AMS. Responses (capability statements) are requested to assess industry capability for a potential future procurement; this notice does not constitute an RFP or commitment to contract.

The compliance firm performs audits by assessing handler processes and documentation and conducts cross-collaboration with USDA inspection services and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The food safety joint effort ensures each peanut lot maintains Positive Lot Identification (PLI) throughout the marketing chain.
