Paratransit Camera Security System RFP

Description: provides origin-to-destination, demand-responsive, shared-ride paratransit service under the name "Access-A-Ride" for individuals with disabilities who meet defined eligibility criteria. The Authority's Paratransit Division ("Paratransit") is soliciting proposals for the installation and deployment of a vehicle camera system (the "Paratransit Camera Security System" or "PCSS") on an estimated one thousand one hundred and twenty-eight (1,128) Vehicles. The PCSS will capture, record, transmit, store, and manage video, and, when enabled by the Authority, audio, in furtherance of Paratransit's commitment to safe and reliable public transit service. Paratransit intends to use the PCSS primarily to: (i) review customer, driver, safety, security, accident, and other operational incidents and the circumstances surrounding them; (ii) evaluate and improve Paratransit operations; and (iii) interoperate with and supplement the Authority-Provided System designated by the Authority for centralized video management (the "MTA Video Management Platform").
