Summary
The five irrigation wells have already been constructed (including the provision of associated well pumps) and the three pump stations and associated enclosures have already been prefabricated and delivered to the Project site by the pump station manufacturer. The pump station manufacturer has also prefabricated and delivered two (2) separate enclosures which will be used to house sodium hypochlorite feed equipment co-located at two of the pump station sites. In order to outfit the wells and complete the installation of the pump stations, it will be necessary for the Contractor to perform the following Work: 1. Construct piping and valves which will connect the irrigation wells to existing distribution piping. Also construct well pads for piping support and procure and install a bladder tank and associated piping at one of the well sites. 2. Procure and install flow meters at the irrigation well sites. 3. Procure and install precast concrete pads which will be used to support the pump stations and associated enclosures. The pump station manufacturer will be responsible for placing and anchoring the pump stations and enclosures onto the pads. 4. Procure and install precast concrete pads which will be used to support the sodium hypochlorite equipment enclosures. The pump station manufacturer will be responsible for placing and anchoring the enclosures onto the pads. 5. Construct piping and valves which will connect the pump stations to existing distribution piping. 6. Construct piping which will be used to connect two of the pump stations to suction piping supplied and installed by the pump station manufacturer (two of the pump tations will draw water from Lake Siena.) Also procure and install piping which will used to discharge filter flush water produced by these two pump stations. 7. Construct a concrete gravity wall and associated aluminum handrail at one of the pump station sites. 8. Procure sodium hypochlorite feed equipment and associated valves and piping and install these items within the enclosures. Also procure and install associated sodium hypochlorite yard piping. 9. Construct electrical improvements designed to transmit power from existing Duke Energy transformers to disconnect switches provided and installed by the pump station manufacturer at the pump station sites. 10. Construct electrical improvements designed to transmit power from existing Duke Energy transformers to control panels provided and installed by the pump station manufacturer at the irrigation well sites. 11. Perform miscellaneous electrical work.
