Services under this contract are to provide horizontal and vertical location services on subsurface facilities in and around County infrastructure. Work may take place in County roads, road sides, urban business districts, stream beds around County bridges, County facility sites, County parks, and lands owned by Somerset County. At the direction of the County Engineering Division the Subsurface Utility Investigation (SUI) work may include horizontal location by Electromagnetic Induction Method (EM), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Current Measurement (CM), excavation, and site observation. Underground Facilities to be located include but are not limited to: storm sewers, sanitary sewers, gas lines, water lines, electric lines, and various types of communications lines.
