Description: Seeking an agency to partner together to implement Ohio START (Sobriety, Treatment, and Reducing Trauma) Program. Ohio START is an intervention program that will provide specialized victim services such as in-tensive trauma counseling to children who have suffered victimization due to parental drug use. The program will also provide drug treatment for parents of children referred to the program. Created through the office of Ohio Attorney General, Ohio START requires the partnering of county Public Children Services Agencies (PCSAs), behavioral health providers, and juvenile/family courts. Casey Family Programs is joining with the Ohio Attorney General in investing in promising strategies for Ohio START in southern Ohio. The grant will be administered by the Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PCSAO).

Region 9 Education Cooperative is soliciting proposals for food and meal services for its Head Start and Early Head Start programs in accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The contractor will develop menus and provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, with approximately 72 Head Start and 54 Early Head Start meals and snacks served daily. The primary objective is to generate and disseminate evidence pertaining to the financing of early care and education programs that meet child, family, and community needs. Building on data collected under the prior contract, this project will identify and elevate strategies used to align head start programs within state funding contexts to reduce administrative burden and expand the reach of ece and head start funding. The research will focus on how head start programs operate within state systems and highlight effective strategies states have used to integrate or build upon head start funding within their broader early childhood systems.
