Obstruction Removal and Mercury in Situ Solidification Project RFP

Description: Work consist of subsurface obstruction removal: excavation and demolition of large industrial foundations constructed of concrete grade beams and pile caps, and cutting, and removal of underlying timber pilings at depths up to 17 feet deep. In situ solidification soil treatment: in-situ solidification of soils containing elemental mercury using in-situ bucket mixing, auger mixing, or specialized mixing tools. Management of mercury air emissions: work includes restrictions on open excavation areas, temporary covers, and other restrictions to reduce mercury air emissions.
