The State of Colorado’s Department of Military & Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractor to remodel two bathroom/shower suites in Building 1520 at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora. The design-bid-build work includes demolition, construction, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, finishing trades, and ADA and building-code upgrades, with an estimated construction cost of $225,000 and an optional epoxy flooring alternate. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and site tour, provide a bid bond of at least 5% and demonstrate relevant experience and bonding capacity; bids are due September 15, 2026.

The Contractor shall replace the existing single ply roof system with new EPDM roofing systems. The Contractor shall verify the roofing square footage prior to procurement of any materials. The Contractor shall protect the building, property, and occupants during demolition and construction. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all roofing materials in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations. The Contractor shall install ½” perimeter edge nailer. The Contractor shall include 192 SF of plywood sheathing repair and provide square foot unit pricing for additional. The Contractor shall include 20 LF of soffit vent repair and provide linear foot unit pricing for additional. See attached file.
