Description: Installation of Owner furnished materials including substation steel, voltage regulator bypass switches including connectors, voltage regulators, 69 kV power fuse mountings including connectors and fuses, 69 kV station class arresters, 69 kV station post insulators, 15 kV station class arresters, 15 kV station post insulators, 15 kV vacuum circuit breakers, 15 kV station class disconnect switches, 15 kV recloser bypass disconnect switches including fuses, 15 kV group operated switch, generator step-up transformer, station power transformer, and switch plate. Furnishing and installing fence, ground grid, fine grading, crushed rock surfacing, aluminum bus, concrete foundations, pre-engineered metal building, above grade double wall fuel storage tank, 500-gallon fuel day tank with integral dual pump package, fuel piping, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, remote control panel, generator support structure, and all incidentals for a complete operational system. Relocation of 1.6 MW generator, generator control panel, remote radiator, exhaust system, battery charger, neutral grounding reactor, catalytic exhaust monitor, and 5 kV switchgear section. Field testing of one substation transformer. Demolition of the existing substation.

2026 Electrical and Ground Power Substation Replacement
Project will provide the electrical equipment for medium voltage substations for both normal and emergency power, for which an earlier project provided the building shell space on Concourse C. In addition, this project will connect these rooms to an existing electrical room by Gate C1 by building ductbank on the apron, and will provide emergency power feeders back to the generators. The electrical room near Gate C1 will be rebuilt for this effort. Civil work will include apron pavement removal and replacement, excavation, duct bank and manhole installation, and backfilling. Construction will include asbestos abatement, concrete work, masonry, steel framing and grating, waterproofing, curtain wall, metal soffit panel installation, doors, gypsum board work, and painting. Mechanical work will include replacement of an existing exhaust system in an electrical room with a new chilled water cooling unit, and rerouting of existing return air pathways back to air handling unit C02. To accommodate the electrical work, two unit heaters will be replaced and underground storm and sanitary lines will be rerouted. Electrical work will include the removal of the existing medium voltage substation in the electrical room by the C1 gate area, along with existing switchboards. The electrical room will then be converted into an electrical room with distribution switchboards. The medium voltage substations for both normal and emergency power for Concourse C will be provided from the newly built-out space from the previous project. This project will be responsible for the procurement and installation of medium voltage substation switchgear and equipment in the new built-out substation rooms. Lastly, electrical work will also include power feeds from the new normal and emergency substation rooms to the electrical room by C1 via the duct bank per this project. Telecommunication work will include new network connections for the new IP controllers and monitoring of new electrical substation equipment.
