NIJ Compliance Testing Program and Equipment Standards Support Services - (Request for Information)
The overall scope of this requirement includes a range of standards development and conformity assessment support services. The various types of services for this effort include, but are not limited to, managing the processes that manufacturers will follow to move their product through the NIJ CTP from initial contact to determination of compliance and will be responsible for resolving routine program issues; addressing novel, critical, ambiguous, or sensitive issues related to conformity assessment of equipment included in the scope of the NIJ CTP, including inspecting, photographing, and documenting test items; managing Follow-up Inspection and Testing processes; and performing laboratory site visits, attending relevant trade shows and standards meetings, visiting storage facilities, and supporting NIJ with commercial stakeholder engagement. The contractor will routinely meet virtually with NIJ on an ongoing basis to administer the NIJ CTP. This PWS outlines the tasks, objectives, conditions, and desired results of services the contractor will provide to DOJ stakeholders. See attached file.
