New Mexico Circular Economy
The New Mexico Environment Department is soliciting proposals under RFP# 27-667-5189-00024, titled "New Mexico Circular Economy," for projects that reduce waste and keep materials and resources in productive use through reuse, recycling, recovery, or redesign. The official release describes the opportunity as a competitive procurement process with $1.5 million for feasibility and assessment projects and $10 million for project implementation, and says NMED anticipates awarding contracts rather than identifying the opportunity as a grant program. New Mexico businesses, local governments, Tribal governments, schools, and nonprofits may apply, and proposals must be submitted through NMED's Bonfire Procurement Portal by 5 p.m. MDT on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026.
