Description: Municipal Prosecutor, by way of contract, for the Township Municipal Court for a one-year term expiring December 31, 2027. The Prosecutor shall be responsible for the conduct of prosecutions and appeals involving crimes and offenses cognizable by the Municipal Court of the Township except such crimes as may be the duty of the County Prosecutor or Attorney General to prosecute. The Prosecutor shall also prosecute violations of ordinances of the Township and complaints of any department under state law.

Responsibilities of the Municipal Prosecutor shall include: Providing prosecutorial services to the Municipal Court pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:25-1 et seq. and the Regulations of the Administrative Office of the Courts; Representing the State of New Jersey and the Borough of Seaside Park, over which the court has jurisdiction; Attending the municipal court session(s) scheduled each month; Providing access to the Seaside Park Borough Police Department by phone on an as needed basis; and Scheduling flexibility for any special trials, as may be required.
