Air Force Research Laboratory
Develop sensors and systems supplies to meet the need for the national defense for improved joint lethality in contested environments, the ability to strike diverse targets inside adversary air and missile defense networks, and support a force which can deploy, survive, operate, maneuver, and regenerate in all domains while under attack. See outside link
Air Force Materiel Command
AFRL/RYD has a need to advance the design and fabrication of commercial and Government developed sensor (signal) generation and processing microelectronics technologies for the purpose of maturing, verifying, assuring, and delivering next generation national defense capabilities to critical Department of Defense (DoD) systems through robust experimentation and testing. Experimentation under the MINSAV ARA will construct prototype systems that demonstrate microelectronics capabilities that yield technical offset for DoD related autonomous, artificial intelligence, precision navigation and timing, electronic warfare, data processing, spatial/spectrally agile, and strategic applications.
Dept of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, AFRL, Space Vehicles Directorate
Perform research and development (R&D), modeling and simulation (M&S), design, component/subsystem, prototype risk reduction, fabrication/purchase, assembly, integration, and testing of directed energy source components (to include spares and alternate component technologies), and/or systems and any required accessories, materials, and supplies for laboratory research and experimentation and field trials in a relevant environment to demonstrate system capabilities.
Air Force Research Laboratory
Nuclear-related research and development, including, but not limited to modeling and simulation of re-entry environments, materials characterization, nuclear explosion monitoring, and design, fabrication and experimentation of nuclear delivery.
