Morgantown Field Office (MFO) Insect Taxonomy Support - (Request for Quotation)

Description: The taxonomist will provide services for the special surveys of woodborers. Fast, accurate screening of raw insect trap samples by highly experienced taxonomists. This involves screening insects contained in each sample and identifying wood-boring beetles (Ceranbycidae, Scolytinae, Buprestidae) and wood wasps (Siricidae) to the species level and all Coleoptera and select Hemiptera to the lowest possible taxonomic level. Taxonomic work to sort and screen insect samples collected during the season for this project will be conducted by the contracted staff. In addition to sample screening, the taxonomic work also involves preparing voucher specimens and entering data about these vouchers into a database to document. See attached file.
