MINERVA Initiative – Uncrewed Air System for Cargo/Munition Drop

Description: The Department of National Defense (DND) and the Canadian Army seek a domestically produced, easy-to-operate, rugged uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) for short-range delivery of light supplies and remote munitions. The system is intended to move combat supplies toward the frontline and deliver munitions independently of predictable ballistic trajectories and launch signatures, while remaining simple, durable, highly survivable, and low-burden to train and maintain. This is a Phase 2 (prototype development) Challenge Stream opportunity funded by contract rather than a grant, and the open notice accepts proposals until October 5, 2026, at 14:00 Eastern time.
