The Public is hereby notified that the City of High Point Purchasing Division and Public Services Department will recommend to the City Council at their regular meeting on November 16, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Municipal Office Building, 211 S Hamilton Street, that Hot Mix Asphalt be purchased from APAC-Atlantic Inc and Blythe Construction, the sellers having agreed to extend to the City of High Point's Public Services Department the same favorable price and terms, or better, set forth in its contract with The City of Greensboro, NC. Pursuant to the N.C. General Statute 143-129 (g), the City of High Point can award the contract without a separate bidding procedure to any contractor that has contracted to furnish the item with any agency or political subdivision that has entered into the contract following a public, formal bid process "substantially similar" to the one contained in G.S. 143-129. Notice of the intent to award the contract without bidding to APAC-Atlantic Inc. and Blythe Construction is hereby published as required no less than ten (10) days prior to the meeting at which the contract is to be awarded. This printed material will be provided in an alternative format upon request.
