The work includes installation of a new 6" pressure reducing valve (PRV) within a precast utility vault, along with all associated piping, fittings, and ancillary valves required for proper operation. The new vault will be connected to the existing water system through approx. 150 LF of 8" ductile iron water main with restrained joints. The scope also includes reconfiguration of existing piping and valves in the intersection of NW 17th Street and Galveston Avenue as necessary to integrate and ensure proper operation of the new PRV. Surface restoration will include a 2" grind and inlay of approx. 455 SY of asphalt pavement and any necessary curb replacement. Traffic control and erosion control are required as part of the work.
