Miami-Dade Tegu Removal

Description: The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is soliciting competitive bids under FWC 26/27-09 for operation of 13 live-trap lines on public lands in Miami-Dade County to remove invasive Argentine black-and-white tegus. The work includes installing and monitoring approximately 429 traps, humane euthanasia, morphometric data collection, photography, and carcass disposal. Fieldwork is scheduled from February 1 through October 31, 2027, with a possible one-year renewal, and the solicitation remains open as of August 27, 2026.
