NASA issued this Special Notice/RFI to obtain one official State-sponsored response from each state concerning potential locations and operating solutions for the United States Space Academy (USSA), a NASA-led civilian federal academic institution. Responses should identify permanent campus locations, interim facilities enabling instruction in 2028 and transition by 2031, estimated establishment costs, and potential state, local, and other non-Federal partnerships. The notice is an RFI rather than a grant program, and the information will support NASA and Commission recommendations, with formal proposals potentially solicited in a later announcement.
