Lower Green Swamp Cattle Grazing Lease (RFP)

Hillsborough County (Conservation & Environmental Lands Management) is soliciting proposals to lease up to 7,905 acres of the Lower Green Swamp Nature Preserve for cattle grazing over an eight-year term, with required in-kind land management services (invasive species control, fertilization, fence and road maintenance, feral hog/exotic animal removal). The solicitation requires proposers to attend at least one mandatory Pre‑Proposal Conference and one Site Visit (scheduled Dec 18 and Dec 19, 2025) and to submit proposals electronically through the County's Euna/Bonfire portal. Proposer qualifications include experience in large grazing operations, pasture management, environmental conservation, and possession (or subcontracting) of an active Florida Pesticide Applicator License; insurance and security deposit requirements are detailed in the solicitation attachments.
