Description: The National Institutes of Health (NIH), acting through NICHD on behalf of the NHLBI Light Microscopy Core, issued a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (RFQ) to acquire one Leica Microsystems Stellaris Microscope System with Confocal, 3D-STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion), FLIM (fluorescence lifetime imaging), and Spectral Multiplexing imaging capabilities as a brand-name-or-equal purchase. The new instrument will replace a 12-year-old Leica SP8 microscope to support advanced cellular and subcellular imaging for intramural investigators across NIH. Quotations were due July 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time, with the solicitation posted July 22, 2026.
