Leica EM GP2 Automatic Plunge Freezer for Cryo-Ele RFP

Description: The Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Imaging requires an automated plunge-freezing system to support cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) studies of isolated plasma membranes. The required system must provide automated single-sided blotting, a temperature- and humidity-controlled sample chamber, controlled secondary cryogen temperature, and reproducible control of blotting and plunge-freezing parameters. These capabilities are required to prepare high-quality vitrified specimens while minimizing mechanical disturbance, sample damage, ice contamination, and experimental variability.
