The project will consist of the installation and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation control devices, lowering pond water surface (if necessary), establish a staging area, clearing and grubbing of existing trees, brush and other vegetation as necessary, grade the emergency spillway area, construct the new concrete emergency spillway including side walls, underdrains and dissipater blocks, refurbish the primary spillway by lowering each of the four weirs, replace new drain valves, install new trash rack, raise the crest of the dam, and fine grade, seed, and mat all disturbed areas after construction activities have been completed. Provide the owner with a topographic survey of all new reconstructed areas, maintain reservoir water elevation until "approval to impound" is acquired from the scdhec, and finally remove all equipment and materials from the project site.

Diverting bear creek and dewatering the work area in accordance with applicable permit requirements. Lockout/tagout of the upstream outlet works gate and accessing the downstream outlet works vault. Excavating the existing channel bottom downstream of the outlet works to expose the existing concrete outfall. Draining and demolishing existing steel pipe, valves, and fittings inside the outlet works vault.

Construction survey staking, information sign, erosion control, clearing, grubbing, site grading, earth dam excavation, storage and spoil of excavated material, fill placement and compaction, removal of existing spillway and boat ramp, construction of new spillway, articulated concrete block, reinforced concrete, railing, dewatering, lake drawdown, lake filling, rip-rap, pipe gate, signs, and seed and mulch.

1. Implementation of sediment and erosion controls as detailed on the plans. 2. Implementation of traffic control plans and mot. 3. Repair of bridge concrete spalling and cracking. 4. Replacement of all bridge deck compression joints. 5. New drainage troughs and downspout on selected buttress as shown on the plans. 6. Replacement of damaged streetlights and pole supports, and two additional street lights at the crosswalk, power pedestals respectively, trenching and installation of conduits as shown on the plans. 7. Improvement of existing stormwater inlets. 8. Repaving/resurfacing of roadway approaches, repair of approach sidewalk. 9. Relocation of the crosswalk and associated walkway connection at entrance of wssc visitor center. 10. Installation of pavement markings and signage.
