Labor Counsel (Request For Proposal)

Description: Provide labor counsel services to the city as directed by appropriate officials within the city. The successful firm must have significant experience in representing new jersey municipalities in all aspects of municipal law. The successful firm will provide the city with legal guidance relating to, but not necessarily limited to: 1. Legal research and/or advisory opinions as needed. 2. Research and draft ordinances and/or resolutions. 3. Represent the city in litigation in federal and state courts and administrative forums. 4. Review and/or draft contracts, ordinances, and bid specifications. 5. Firm must provide representation when needed for all types of municipal legal issues. 6. Firm must have expertise in all aspects of new jersey municipal law including municipal contracts, public labor employment and alcohol beverage control boards.
