Design-Build Restoration of the Auditorium Walls (Request for Proposals)
Design-build: work includes design and execution of decorative finish restoration of the auditorium walls.
Description: Work includes documentation, demolition of masonry addition and roof, wood log restoration and reconstruction of the roof structure and wood shingle roof system. Site work to includes limited grading to promote site drainage away from the building, demolition of select areas of existing paving, underground electrical service to the structure, and metal site fence. A future phase 2 scope is shown as alternate 1 to include an accessible parking space and additional concrete sidewalk. Exterior restoration of the existing logs as noted on exterior elevations, masonry mortar repointing and select new masonry, new roof framing and cedar shingle roof, reconstruction of the wood timber framed porch at the west and east sides of the log structure including concrete footings. New wood board and rail and stile doors, wood double hung window sashes within existing openings with modifications, casement window within existing opening at second floor. Interior work includes selective replacement of the wood board floor, dry stacked stone support of existing floor joists and beams, replacement of deteriorated wood floor joists at first and second floor, wood roof structure and cedar shingle roof system, cedar board exterior siding at gables, recessed floor power outlets.
