Summary
This project consists of the removal of a sheet pile dam and restoration of the impoundment to renaturalize the stream and floodplain system. The dam and all associated infrastructure, including all sheet piling, concrete blocks and culverts, shall be fully removed and hauled off site. Approx. 150 cubic yards of accumulated sediment shall be removed from the impoundment and disposed of on site. A proposed 7-foot wide stream channel shall be graded into the former impoundment with accessible floodplains. On-site wood shall be utilized for proposed grade control structures and floodplain roughness elements. Contractor shall be responsible for stabilization of excavated sediment with biodegradable rolled erosion control product (RECP) and onsite duff materials. The contractor shall be responsible for hauling of the dam materials off site and disposing accordingly.
