The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities has issued public notice ADA-72388 proposing to extend a state airport land lease (Lot 1, Block 700, approximately 40,000 square feet) at Barrow Airport for an additional five years for applicant Eskimos, Inc. Authorized uses include aeronautical activities such as operation of an aviation fuel sales business, storage of aviation fuel, and operation of a storage building to house equipment for the fuel sales business, with annual rent of $8,680.00 plus associated fees. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on August 3, 2026, after which the Department will determine whether or not to extend the lease, in accordance with AS 02.15.090(c).
