Well Water Line Replacement
The Corporation of the Town of Cochrane is seeking design-build proposals to replace deteriorating water lines from municipal wells to Water Plant Road. The work includes approximately 110 m of 150 mm cast-iron pipe, 125 m of 250 mm cast-iron pipe, and 40 m of 300 mm PVC pipe; final quantities will be confirmed during design. The successful proponent will provide design, engineering, fabrication, supply, construction, and related work in accordance with the contract documents and applicable standards.

Work includes approx 4,640 LF of 2" SDR 13.5 PVC water main; 440 LF of 6" ductile iron water main, along with horizontal punching of small diameter water mains beneath surface features. Work also includes installation of fire hydrants, gate valves, blow-offs, fittings, and appurtenances, installation of new 3/4" copper water service lines and service connections, and abandonment of existing water mains and valves. Additional work includes tapping saddles, sleeves, and valves; erosion control measures; select backfill and rock excavation as required; and restoration of disturbed areas including seeding, driveways, and pavement surfaces.
