Iredell County Onsite Employee Wellness Clinic RFP

Description: Iredell County Government is seeking proposals from qualified companies to staff its current Employee Wellness Center with qualified clinical personnel, which may include a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, and Medical Assistant, operating under the general supervision of a licensed Physician Medical Director. Iredell County's Wellness Center is located at 318 Turnersburg Hwy., Suite B, Statesville, NC 28625. This program is for Iredell County employees, retirees, and eligible dependents covered under the County's Group Health Insurance Plan. The supervising clinician(s) will plan, direct, and evaluate employee and dependent health care delivered through the clinic. Onsite clinical staff will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat routine health conditions, order and interpret diagnostic testing (including laboratory work and other point-of-care diagnostics), prescribe medications as appropriate, provide patient education and health/behavioral coaching to support members in managing chronic disease, and promote and support the County's wellness initiatives, including its biometric screening program and related premium incentive structure. Please note these services are not intended to replace, and should be coordinated with, care provided by the employee's or dependent's primary care physician. The County is particularly interested in proposals from organizations that specialize in providing high-quality, cost-effective onsite clinic and wellness services for employers of comparable size, and that can demonstrate the ability to reduce healthcare costs and improve the health of their members. The County is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to competitively evaluate the market, confirm that its onsite clinic program reflects current best practices as it relates to pricing, service quality, staffing continuity, and reporting, and to establish clear performance expectations for the services described herein.
