Description: SECTION 001116 INVITATION TO BID 1.01 PROJECT INFORMATION A. Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for Project as de- scribed in this Document according to the Instructions to Bidders. B. Project Identification: Wall Replacement Coffee Middle School. C. Project Location: Coffee Middle School: 901 Connector 206 N., Douglas, GA 31533. D. Owner: Coffee County Schools, 271 Trojan Way. Douglas, GA 31533. E. Owner's Representative: Michael Spikes, 912-850-5018 F. Architect: Altman + Barrett Architects, P.O. Box 665 Hahira, GA 31632. G. Project Description: Project consists of removing masonry wall, hollow metal frames, aluminum windows, flooring, ceiling tile, ceiling grid, install new masonry wall, hollow metal doors and frames, hardware install new ceiling tile, ceiling grid, new flooring, and removing debris from site. H. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). 1.02 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING A. Owner will receive sealed bids until the bid time and date at the location indicated below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: 1. Bid Date: December 8, 2026 2. Bid Time: 2:00 p.m. local time. B. Location: Coffee County Schools, 211 Gaskin Avenue S. Douglas, GA 31533 C. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. 1.03 BID SECURITY A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of [5] percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of [60] days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.04 PREBID CONFERENCE A. A mandatory prebid conference for all bidders will be held at Coffee Middle School: 901 Connector 206 N., Douglas, GA 31533. on November 19th, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. local time. Prospective bidders are required to attend. 1.05 DOCUMENTS A. Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain after November 5, 2026, by contacting Print Life Printing and Supplies, Inc., 1006 Williams St. Val- dosta, GA 31601 or by calling (229)244-5598. Documents will be provided to prime bidders only; only complete sets of documents will be issued. 1. Payment: $150.00 [made payable to Print Life Printing and Supplies]. 2. Shipping: Additional shipping charges will apply. B. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine after November 5, 2026, at the locations below: 1. Architect website (listed in original document). 1.06 TIME OF COMPLETION A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Start May 27, 2027 and pro- ject completed July 26, 2027. 1.07 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. END OF DOCUMENT 001116
