Independent Regional Impact Assessment: Social, Health, Economic, and Municipal Effects of the Proposed Deep Geological Repository for Canada's Used Nuclear Fuel on the City of Dryden and Surrounding Region

Description: The Corporation of the City of Dryden is seeking qualified multidisciplinary consulting teams to conduct an independent assessment of the social, health, economic, and municipal impacts of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization's proposed Deep Geological Repository for Canada's used nuclear fuel. The study will support Dryden's participation in the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada's integrated impact assessment and its discussions with the NWMO, the Province of Ontario, and the Government of Canada regarding impact mitigation, benefit enhancement, service capacity, and long-term fiscal sustainability. It must address Dryden's role as a regional hub and quantify project-related demands on services, infrastructure, and the municipal tax base across all project phases.
