Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for towing equipment and experienced drivers/operators to support roadway clearing operations on an as-needed basis. Services will assist with removing inoperable vehicles and maintaining safe traffic flow during snow, ice, hurricanes, heavily traveled holidays, and other emergency events on specified I-95 segments in Caroline, Stafford, and Spotsylvania counties. The solicitation includes multiple towing and storage service lots requiring light/conventional-duty and heavy-duty tow vehicles or rollbacks with drivers/operators.
