Apply any and all necessary finishes to new installation, patch and repair adjacent finishes affected to match original condition. Strip paint to bare wood at all friction/impact surfaces. Fill or patch holes, cracks, and wet-sand finish surfaces removing any sharp ridges. Apply one coat of primer and encapsulant, and two coats of finish paint to the entire component. Wet-scrape all loose, chipped and peeling paint. Fill, patch holes, crack and wet-sand finish surfaces removing any sharp ridges. Apply one coat of primer and encapsulant, and two coats of finish paint to the entire component.
