The work consists of the dredging and disposal of material from the Tiger Pass Ship Channel. Approx. 2.25 million CY of material will be dredged from the channel to restore navigation. The dredged material will be disposed of via pipeline into disposal sites specified in the Plans and Specifications. All disposal sites will be single point discharge. To perform maintenance dredging of the Hudson River Federal Navigation Project. The dredged material will be transported and placed into a New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation (DEC) approved contractor provided upland dredge material placement site. The proposed maintenance dredging will remove approx. 10,000 CY of critical shoals from the Troy Lock & Dock dredging area. Dredging will be required to a depth of -14 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus 1-foot allowable over depth. The dredged material is expected to consist primarily of sand and silt.
