Hoover Federal Building Waterproofing Infiltration Construction

Description: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials to replace the waterproofi ng system per the attached contract documents (Herbert C. Hoover Building, Courtyard 2 Water Infiltration Resolution). This includes but is not limited to topping slab, drainage boards, drains, plumbing, flashing, control joints, expansion joints, granite pavement and granite base course. Repair all cracks and spalls in the structural slab prior to installation of new fully adhered waterproofing membrane. The waterproofing system must be adequately transitioned into adjacent waterproofing and building components.

Inflow and Infiltration Mitigation Project
Project generally consists of: furnish and install approx. 3,505 LF of 8" DIP and/or 10" HDPE water main and appurtenances installed by open trench method; 15 - 8" and 10" gate valves with valve boxes; 8 hydrant assemblies; 1,092 LF of 3/4" HDPE or copper service pipe, 24 LF 1" HDPE or copper service pipe; 44 - 3/4" corporations, curb stops and boxes; 1 - 1" corporations, curb stops and boxes; and 10 connections to existing water mains; 10 watermain relocations around existing sanitary manholes; replacement of existing sanitary sewer with 3,205 LF of 8" PVC SDR-35; 1,122 LF of 4" and 6" lateral services; 45 connections to existing sanitary sewers; 25 sanitary manhole replacements; 2,396 LF of cured in place relining of existing sanitary sewers; sealing/coating of 7 existing sanitary manholes; restoration of roadways, lawns, miscellaneous surfaces and all disturbed areas.

Novato Police Department Water Infiltration CIP Project
Contractors to replace the 1,500 SF elevated concrete deck, waterproofing, and drainage system at the main front entrance. The work to be done includes but is not limited to: Demolition & Preparation. - Removal and safe storing (in the NPD garden area located to the left of the main entrance) of unattached benches and deck structures. - Stripping the existing deck down to the structural concrete core. Mechanically clean the concrete surface to remove old adhesive, contaminants, and debris. Clean and seal all surface cracks and alert the City Engineer of any un-viewable substrate defects. - Confirm new system thickness against the main door and training room entry doors thresholds before demolition. Adjust aluminum thresholds to guarantee a smooth, ADA-compliant transition. - Sawcut and remove the first top step of the main staircase and cut the bottom of its 3 support poles (to be remounted later). Sawcut and remove 12 inches into the ADA ramp entry point to accommodate the under-deck drainage system. Sawcut and remove 12 inches into the flagpole base to accommodate the under-deck drainage system. Clear and grub designated bushes as outlined in the pre-bid walk. Waterproofing System. - Supply and install a Duro-Fleece Plus 80-mil PVC (or approved equal) fleece-backed membrane.
